Job Description

MANPOWER HAS A JOB FOR YOU! One of our top clients in the Energy Industry in Cranberry/Warrendale, PA area is looking for Assembly Technicians. This assignment is to last approximately 9 months with the possibility of longer. Pay rate is $14/hr. 7am-3pm Monday-Friday.

Outline of Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to the following):

--Complete electro-mechanical assembly of Transportation products according to drawings, bills of materials, procedures, check sheets, and other work instructions.

--Use various hand and power tools correctly and safely to assemble sub-assemblies and products.

--Conduct rework / repair of non-conforming product as instructed.

--Perform verification of subassemblies and/or assemblies for defects by operating measurement devices and visual checking. Identify and correct defects appropriately.

--Complete assembly record documentation in accordance with company and divisional policies and procedures such as check sheets, production sheets and other paperwork.

--Provide input and/or assistance to others developing processes, procedures and instructions as necessary.

--Safely and correctly operate all equipment, including the following: powered industrial truck, pallet jack, and overhead crane.

--Perform other duties as assigned.

--Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.

--Team assemblers can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.

--May participate in making management decisions affecting the work. Team leaders who work as part of the team should be included.

Physical/Mental Characteristics:

--Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.

--Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

--Ability to inspect sub-assemblies and assemblies.

--Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

--Ability to judge the quality of sub-assemblies and assemblies produced compared to established standards, drawings, and instructions.

--Ability to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, and bills of materials.

--Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and equipment, such as fork trucks and overhead cranes.

--Ability to stand, sit, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential job functions.

Starting Pay Rate: $14.00/hr
