-General Labor, assembly helper. Helping make and install tarps.
-Thoroughly review assembly instructions or forms to familiarize with the particular unit to be assembled
-Check that proper materials are available and of sufficient quantity and inform Supervisor
immediately if any materials are not available
-Verify the quality of material(s) to be used and inform Supervisor of any defective
material (never assume the quality has been checked, always verify)
-Ensure instructions and information is thoroughly understood, if not, Supervisor is to be informed immediately to explain. Verify that the proper unit to be assembled, if unsure contact Supervisor immediately
-Ensure that the proper tools and equipment are in place to complete the job
-Assemble unit according to assembly procedures and instructions, efficiently and
properly including but not limited to the following:
-Loading carriers onto track
-Bolting bows and corners together and installing on carriers
-Pulling tarp panels into bows
-Installing lifter bows
-Assist with repairs on customer's existing units
-Complete Quality Control instructions verifying that the unit conforms to the
specifications outlined in the assembly instructions and forms provided for each unit
-Perform quality control check on finished tarp panels
-Inform Supervisor of completion of assemblies and repairs and have Supervisor sign
quality control sheet
-Clean up as required or as necessary
-Fill out labor card clearly, accurately and completely
Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental:
-Employee shall be familiar with and implement the applicable legislative company,
departmental, customer, and job related Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental
requirements including procedures, work instructions and forms.
-The employee acknowledges the requirement to be fully trained in the job function
outlined herein and agrees to take any and all training, upgrading and related activities
necessitated by the work activity or as directed by management.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
-Trustworthy, honest, responsible & highly reliable
-Able to follow verbal and written instruction
-Able to read standard tape measure
-Experienced with safe use of electric and pneumatic power tools, saws etc.
-Able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches etc.
-Certified in operation of forklift a plus
-High level of organizational skills & abilities
-Independent & self motivated
-Customer oriented, reliable & dedicated
-Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
-Extensive knowledge and hands on experience on assembly & installation
