    Manpower is partnering with a Client located in Sheboygan County and searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk.

    What is the position?
    * Under the direct supervision of a Supervisor - Accounts Payable, audit and enter invoices into the on-line accounts payable system.
    * Maintain a current accounts payable status with assigned vendors and distribute charges to the appropriate accounting period.
    * Work with Client's facilities auditing and entering invoices into the Accounts Payable system.
    * Audit consists of verification of price, received quantity, tax status, account number, payee name and address, payment terms and standard costs. Audit is a combination of on-line edits and manual verification.
    * Contact with vendors to correct invoice discrepancies. This would include requesting proof of delivery, copies of prepaid freight bills, resolving billing errors, etc.
    * Work with the various Accounting Departments, the Tax Department, Purchasing, and Receiving to resolve invoice related problems. Our on-line accounts payable system edits the data provided by these areas and provides error messages on erroneous data that must be corrected in order to authorize an invoice for payment.
    * Analyze vendor statements to determine past-due invoices or unused credits and follow-up on all old items.
    * Work with vendors to maintain a current accounts payable balance.
