    A seasoned non-profit leader is needed for Horizon Goodwill Industries (HGI) in the mid-Atlantic region. Horizon Goodwill has grown to be one of the most impactful and successful non-profits in the area. This role as chief professional officer is critical to the on-going success and growth of Horizon Goodwill. HGI is headquartered in Hagerstown, MD; however, it serves people and communities in a Quad-state region including areas in South Central Pennsylvania, Central and Western Maryland, the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, and four counties in the Winchester, VA area. An existing team with a great reputation of exceptional service delivery exists to run this $20M+ organization and they are seeking a like-minded professional to help them continue to achieve their Mission.

    Position Summary:
    The HGI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) works closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Staff to plan, develop, implement and communicate the mission, strategy and vision of the organization, as well as oversee all operational, legal and financial matters. The CEO is responsible for the development and implementation of the operational plans used to realize the strategic objectives of the organization.

    In this Executive position, you will have the opportunity to:
    * Manage and coordinate efforts with the Board of Directors, the Executive Staff, and community leaders
    * Direct, plan and implement policies and objectives of HGI consistent with its overall strategic framework
    * Build and maintain community partnerships that foster long-term stability and continual growth
    * Effectively represent HGI in community forums to inspire resource contributions, volunteerism, and collaborative business opportunities
    * Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of the organization and its staff and to determine areas of revenue development, cost management and program improvement
    * Confer with Board of Directors, Executive Staff and other staff on policy, planning, and operational issues
    * Recommend annual program goals and budget to the Board of Directors.
    * Be "the face" for the organization throughout the region through public relations and fund raising activities
    * Manage the capital and other assets of the organization to maximum effect
    * Be an inspiring and empowering leader for your HGI team
    * Be an adept and effective public speaker always representing HGI in the best light
