    Position Qualifications:

    Transportation Coordinator

    Manpower is currently hiring a Transportation Coordinator to fulfill a permanent position for a major Oil and Gas company in Nisku, Alberta.

    In this role, as a Transportation Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the National Safety Code, training monitoring and evaluating company personnel to ensure compliance.

    Responsibilities:
    * Gather and analyze fleet safety data for periodic and systematic evaluation by the management team
    * Develop and maintain the Fleet Safety and Journey Management Manual
    * Maintain and evaluate driver and equipment files
    * Audit driver logs
    * Train and /or educate field employees in all aspects of fleet safety and regulatory requirements
    * Pre-trip/post trip training
    * Professional Driver Improvement Course (P.D.I.C)
    * Defensive Driving Course (D.D.C)
    * Electronic logbooks
    * Fatigue management and hours of service
    * Convoy, heavy duty and picker training
    * In-vehicle evaluations
    * Other fleet safety courses as required
    * Actively anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices
    * Ensure compliance with the safety policies, procedures, and standards
    * Other duties as assigned

    Requirements:
    * Previous experience in a related role would be considered an asset
    * Must have Class 1 Drivers License
    * Must be an accredited driver training instructor or have the qualifications to pursue
    * Must have a willingness to travel frequently (60% field/ 40% office)
    * Must be committed to continual education and professional growth
    * Must have strong communication and teaching skills
    * Must have strong equipment and regulatory knowledge
