    Processes purchase requisitions from internal customers and turns those requisitions into purchase orders.
    ◾Analyzes demand of materials through use of MRP, visual inventory analysis and other methods to ensure ready supply of materials at appropriate levels and in a timely manner to prevent manufacturing stock outs.
    ◾Provides suppliers necessary information to satisfy requests, orders, and deliveries. Including, but not limited, to drawings, specifications, forecasts, historical data, QA/RA requirements, etc.
    ◾Creates PO's timely and is responsible for accurate data on purchase orders inclusive of price, quantity and delivery date.
    ◾Tracks goods receipts to PO's and ensures ERP system accuracy for timely payment to suppliers and internal visibility.
    ◾Reports status of PO deliveries and past due deliveries to stakeholders.
    ◾Ensures all ECN's, NCR's and Purchase Order deviations are completed timely and communicated clearly with suppliers.
    ◾Participates in process improvement activities to improve supplier and/or department performance.
    ◾Effectively manages supplier quality issues within a timely manner.
    ◾Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers, understands their capabilities, capacity, and performance.
    ◾Identifies cost savings opportunities within area of spend and/or entire company spend where possible.
    ◾Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Purchasing Manager.

    Core Responsibilities:
    * Analyze, negotiate tool lead times and track progress to ensure targets are met
    * Part Design Change management and Design Change compensation request assessment
    * Bill of Material maturation, Trial Event/Exceptional Part Ordering and Delivery management
    * Negotiation with suppliers to ensure best delivery timing and part cost for trial events
    * Assess supplier Mass Production readiness and track open issues to closure
    * Support occasional Dept. shift rotation

    Position-Requirements
    * Post-secondary graduate or relevant Purchasing /Supply Chain/Business related program, and/or related experience
    * Strong mathematical, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    * Effective negotiating, prioritization, decision making and problem-solving skills
    * Strong organizational and teamwork skills
    * Project management or relevant new model launch experience (an asset)
    * Advanced Microsoft Office, MS Outlook

    Preference given to those candidates offering:
    * Experience working in a fast paced, results oriented environment
    * Knowledge of tooling or equipment manufacturing
    * Knowledge of part manufacturing processes
    * Negotiation experience with suppliers
    * Knowledge of supply chain management
    * Demonstrated track record in Continuous Improvement activities (i.e. NHC, Kaizen)
    * Career advancement mindset - seeking growth potential
