    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Select, install and maintain power distribution systems by performing the following: lays out, assembles, installs electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring for electrical systems. Plans installations from blueprints, sketches, and specifications. Measures, cuts, threads, bends assembles and installs conduits and electrical enclosures.
    * Tests electrical and electronic equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of systems to diagnose cause of malfunction and repairs or replaces faulty component(s).
    * Tests components and circuits to locate defects using multi meters, oscilloscopes, wave form generators, storage scopes.
    * Knowledge on Robotics and its troubleshooting.
    * Knowledge on control circuits, AC/DC drives, PLC's etc.
    * Performs program modifications to improve and correct machine operations as assigned. (excluding safety circuit modifications with out proper approvals). Document and communicate all changes.
    * Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
    * Other duties may be assigned

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    * Completion of approved Province of Ontario Industrial Electrical Apprenticeship for Trade 442A preferred; with 9000 hours related experience and/or training.
    * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to describe problems and solutions with other employees of organization.
    * Ability to work with electrical mathematical concepts such as resistance, wire calculations, electromotive force, terminal voltages, analysis of series and parallel circuits, and trigonometry. Compute metric conversions, weights, measures, linear equations, formulae and shop calculations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    *Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    * Hold a Ontario Electrical Certificate of Qualification

    * Forklift and powered man lift operator's license.

    * Maintenance gas fitters license recommended.

    Starting Wage: $34.27 with progression to $35.77

    Performance is measured based on the number of key strokes.

    - Must maintain consistent high frequency of keystrokes (10,000 kph), with 100% accuracy confirmed by 'double key' verification

    - Carry cartons ranging in weight from 30-50# for distances up to 20 feet on a frequency of one box every 5-7 minutes

    - Lift and lower cartons from/to pallet and from/to workstation. Cartons range in weight from 30-50#, with lift heights ranging from13" to 45", on a frequency of one box every 5-7 minutes

    Manpower is currently hiring for a Gas Fitter 2 (repair, service and installation) to fulfill a full-time, permanent positions in Kingston. This position is responsible for the installation, assembly, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment.

    Your day will be spent going to different locations, building relationships, representing the company and obviously correcting or installing customers with their products.

    What do you have?
    Valid Driver's License
    G2 or higher certified technician
    Minimum 1 year experience in either installation or service
    Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose furnaces, a/c units etc.
    Ability to interpret work order and technical manuals
    Punctual and dependable
    Willingness to be mentored and developed
