Job Description

*This is a permanent, direct hire position with full benefits.

The Project Assistant works directly with Senior level staff to ensure that project deadlines, budgets and compliance goals are met with efficiency. As the Project Assistant you will support the Senior Development Manager in all commercial land development projects. You will assist in bid proposals, project planning, permitting, and lease management.

Your duties include:

* Assist in the management of the construction process for all CRE ground-up projects as well as redevelopment, reposition and renovation activities.

* Provide administrative support for land development and engineering design projects.

* Projects file management (including construction documentation, O&M Manuals, warranty records, material specifications, inspection records and as-builts).

* Obtain building permits.

* Provide leasing support to property agents.

* Support sales and marketing efforts.

* Communicate progress, needs and concerns to senior level staff.



The ideal candidate will have:

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field, AA degree considered.

* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with commercial construction projects OR administrative expertise in a construction environment.

* Knowledge and understanding of construction principles and practices as they relate to land development and commercial construction.

* Ability to read and understand construction drawings and site plans.

* Ability to deal effectively with contractors, fellow employees, government representatives and the public/customers.

* Experience with bid proposals, property management and leasing preferred.

* Strong organizational skills including ability to schedule effectively and maintain accurate data.

* Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.

* Computer skills: MS Office, Proficiency with MS Project or Lease Management software a plus.



This position offers:

* Salary of $60-75K annually
