Job Description

Customer Focused Team Lead - Electronics-Contract Manufacturing- permanent job opportunity with a leading global electronics manufacturing company. Canadian headquarters located in York Region. Customer-Focused Team Leaders (CFTLs) excel at identifying for our customers and people why the company is the EMS solution provider of choice, demonstrating a clear understanding of our Core Values, Hedgehog Concept and Envisioned Future. They lead and support a cross-functional Customer-Focused Team (CFT) to deliver on customer satisfaction, growth and other performance metrics, as well as the development and growth of their team. CFTLs act as Presidents of the business for their group of customers, and are responsible for their CFT's P&L and ROA.


 Drive the culture of the Team/ BU

 Owns EBITDA & delivers agreed revenues & ROA

 Drive ongoing improvements to contribution margins and ROA

 Foster and maintain high level customer relationships

 Provide Leadership to the Customer Focus Team & Business Unit

 Participate and collaborate on BU leadership team

 Support company strategic directions, future focus & vision

 Develop and engage the Customer Focus Team through partnership discussions

 Continuous alignment of company and business unit objectives

 Develop plans to leverage company's position with the customer and to further penetrate relationships and increase sales/ Share of Wallet

 Learn the customer's industry, business operations, strategic objectives, and decision making process

 Track and manage inventory, A/R, NCNR, NRE, RMA, Customer Satisfaction issues and performance metrics

 Negotiate Supply Agreements and other contracts as required


* Sound business sense and knowledge of Contract Manufacturing including 5 + years' experience in a similar capacity (Project/Account Management, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain) with at least 3 + years in a leadership role

* Ability to Understand and communicate customer requirements to Team and BU Leadership

* A great facilitator with high level knowledge of all business aspects and a passion to drive continuous improvement in a Lean environment

* Function with a determined, calm demeanor in a high paced, highly demanding industry

* Strong desire to learn/ read/ research and expand leadership skills & customer knowledge

* Track record of building high performing teams

* Knowledgeable about supply chain dynamics

* Comfortable presenting and meeting face to face with Customers

* Able to Communicate in a positive sense, even when delivering negative messages

* Diploma or equivalent experience, in Business Administration, Operations or Management is preferred.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is mandatory, experience with ERP/MRP is an asset.
