Job Description

•Supervise recruiting, job placement, transfers, hiring, contingent workforce administration, and related activities to ensure qualified labor is available for production.
•Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.
•Ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks through basic understanding of employment laws.
•Align facility HR objectives to business objectives to drive organizational value.
•Work closely with operations to ensure training and development of the production workforce is occurring including: new hire orientations, safety, professional development and regulatory compliance.
•Promote the role of human resources and enhance the credibility of the function; work well with HR team members to share practices and processes.
•Plan, organize and control all activities of the HR department.
•Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
•Review accident reports, assist in accident investigation and corrective action review
•Prepare safety metrics reports
•Administers Workers’ Compensation program: oversee claim activity and coordinate with the claims adjuster on any issues.
•Administer established policies and procedures in the areas of employment, training, benefits, and other general plant activities.
•Ensure all employee transactions are entered accurately and timely into the HRIS. Data entry includes: hires, terminations, transfers, wage changes, and leaves of absence.
•Designs, directs and manages a company-wide process of organization development
•Leads company’s compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities ACT (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Department of Labor, workers compensation, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
•Administer employee absence programs, policies, and benefits.
•Respond to employee and management inquiries about company policy and procedure.
•Monitor all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.
•Process weekly hourly payroll.

•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources or related field; preferably in multi-shift manufacturing facility
•SPHR or PHR certification or equivalent is required
•Experience with HRIS, ADP Workforce Now is a plus
• OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Certification preferred
•Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills
•Knowledge of Microsoft office software – computer proficiency required
•Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
•Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
•Ability to pass a drug screen and national background screening
