Job Description

Direct Hire. Experienced Electrician with manufacturing plant experience- 5 years preferred.



Rotating shift 6-8 weeks training working 1st shift and after training One week - Mon - Fri. (6:30-3) Next week - Tues - Sat (6:30 -3). 3rd week- , Mon -Fri (10-6:30) + late call ins.

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for a Polyurethanes organization located in Ringwood, Illinois.



What will be expected from you?

* Dismantle electrical and instrumentation machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical components.

* Install and maintain various types of motors, lighting fixtures, instruments, circuit breakers, PLCs, HMIs and other plant electrical equipment

* Monitor the performance of electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazards, need for adjustment or replacement

* Interprets blueprints, work from work order, sketches and / or verbal instructions to modify the electrical embodiment, PLC code and / or the HMI graphical interface

* Completes circuits according to diagrams or electrical specifications

* The repair, replacement, and test of electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and test instruments

* Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control centers, and PLCs for both connectivity and program errors

* Participates in development and uses a computerized maintenance management system

* Performs mechanical duties - such as pipe repairs, line preventive maintenance as needed





What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

* Diagnosing and repairing electrical and instrumentation controls, industrial motor controls, programmable logic controllers and HMI

* Prior industrial or significant commercial electrical experience is a must

* Occasional planning and installation of new equipment

* Performing inspections and testing of electrical components and instrumentation

* Desire to learn and be proactive in educating oneself on the equipment in the work environment

* Ability to isolate defects in wiring, instruments, switches, motors and other electrical equipment

* Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems

* Ability to work in elevated locations up to 35 feet

* Ability to read commercial electrical blueprints and apply NEC through the full range of commercial and industrial maintenance work

* Ability to diagnose and repair electrical controls, instrumentation systems, industrial motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers, in regard to conductivity or code

* Ability to discern colors for interpretation of color coded trending and/or reading of color-coded plan instrumentation

* Preferable for candidate to have Journeyman Electrician's License
