Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Category Leader. This position is expected to last until the end of 2018 with a possibility of extending in to next year, will work day shift and earn $25 per hour. Job Description:


* In conjunction with internal and external customers alike, drive regional indirect sourcing projects

* Manage defining sourcing project goals, including roles and responsibilities of stakeholders.

* Collect stakeholder business requirements into sourcing plans and RFP strategies.

* Enhance competition by leveraging spend and seeking out new suppliers that create incremental value.

* Coordinate and lead negotiations; help stakeholders understand tradeoffs and benefits of negotiation strategies/outcomes.

* Develop contracts that are commercially sound and provide optimum protection of company assets.

* Manage contract initiation process as well as management of finished contracts into automated company-wide tools.

* Quantify and report both identified and implemented sourcing project results.


* Work with corporate team, business units, and regional stakeholders to prioritize an evolving portfolio

* Lead the aggregation, normalization, and analysis of spend data to identify potential value opportunities.

* Identify opportunities arising from commodity trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions.

* Ensure proper sequencing, resourcing, and business support for value capture initiatives.

Supplier/Relationship Management:

* Foster relationships with suppliers to create short-term and long-term value for the company.

* Lead business reviews with strategic suppliers to ensure performance against contracted obligations and business unit expectations.

* Anticipate and minimize performance issues via use of KPIs.

* When performance issues emerge, identify root causes and drive for efficient resolution of issues at hand

* Demonstrated expert-level financial, quantitative, and analytical skills

* Uses fact based decision making; leverages market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling to drive business decisions

* Possesses strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

* Very strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, allowing for broad relationship building and management

* Demonstrated executive presence and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills

* Understanding of multi-step process and role of terms & conditions in managing corporate risk

* Comfortable with managing multiple projects

* Skilled at extracting high-value results from external expert resources, when/where appropriate

* Strong project management skills

* Manages change through influence

* Demonstrated excellence in managing internal customers; skilled at institutionalizing communications for input and alignment

* Able to work up, down, and across large organizations

* Comfortable working in a matrixed or dotted line reporting structure, as evidenced by reporting to a Regional Procurement Director and Global Procurement Director for Indirect.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited college or university, with GPA of 3.0 or above

* 3 - 5 years of work experience in indirect sourcing desired 812.429.7321
