This is a hands-on position that will be responsible for the availability of IT systems to facilitate the Sales, Production, Shipping and Accounting of TFP products and the efficient workflow thereof to maximize profitability. This person will be responsible for the development and implementation of new SQL, NAV and Crystal-based solutions and maintenance of existing systems. The right person will be able to facilitate the integration of multiple operational platforms to work as a cohesive business operating infrastructure. They will have the ability to work as a team with all levels of employees and independently as needed. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to build good working relationships with other employees.


* Work closely with company managers to design and implement new functionality for the manufacturing and business environments.

* Successfully work with business managers on integrating projects such as WMS, Repete, EDI, and Maintenance Software.

* Assist in improving business processes, including empowering users to develop and retrieve reports without relying on IT to deliver them.

* Manage the IT work function to ensure timely backups of critical data; preserving TFP informational assets and take steps to prevent data loss/sabotage through relevant security and permissions policies.

* Responsible for implementation and control of the disaster recovery plan for quick restoration of critical IT and accounting services in the event of a disaster.

* Manage 3rd party developers as needed to modify or install IT systems.

* Monitors systems performance to ensure efficient system user experience is delivered - takes steps to optimize, upgrade network or database applications periodically to meet system performance expectations.

* Manage the helpdesk employee that interfaces with users and assists with their requirements as necessary. This will require being adept with all other IT nuances including WiFi, mobile devices, label printers and other software/hardware including servers.

* Works with other department heads and executives to consistently plan, evolve and improve TFP's operational efficiency through IT enhancement. This requires professional demeanor, intuition and excellent communicational skills.


* Bachelor of Science - Computer Science or equivalent work experience

* Minimum of 8-10 years IT experience working for a manufacturing company while growing in areas of responsibility and management oversight.

* Minimum of five years' experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV development, SQL Server, NAV C/AL Coding on 2009+ and developing and maintaining Crystal Reports, SSRS.

* Experience in implementing NAV WMS and maintenance of it is a plus.

* Good grounding in business fundamentals and the ability to visualize IT requirements in the scope of how these requirements fit into the business.

* Able to multitask, prioritize, stay organized and complete tasks timely.

* Solid understanding of ERP Processes.
