PET FOOD PLANT - Maintenance Coordinator





JOB PURPOSE

The Maintenance Coordinator position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The Coordinator is responsible for scheduling work orders and preventive maintenance work orders. This includes follow up and closing out the open work orders in the Maintenance Management Software System. In addition, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for parts inventory and ordering parts to maintain inventory levels as laid out in the maintenance management software program. The Maintenance Coordinator will interface with accounting to perform inventories as needed with all maintenance supplies and equipment.



PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Schedule preventive maintenance work order and plant maintenance work orders.

* Assist with populating the Maintenance Management Data Base.

* Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.

* Knowledgeable regarding computers.

* Work closely with the management team to provide data on maintenance activities and inventory levels.

* Knows and follows all food safety guidelines.

* Complete required paperwork.

* Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Ability to climb ladders and check equipment information when needed.

* Be familiar with Lockout/Tagout guidelines and TFP safety program.

* Establish working relationships with outside contractors while at times relaying information to and from them regarding details of projects to company management team.

* Any other duties as assigned.

* Must have a thorough understanding of basic electrical and electronics with ability to troubleshoot electrical issues with a full understanding of ladder logic and controls. This is desirable but not mandatory.

* Full understanding of our food safety and safety program.

* Perform clerical duties as required to order and receive parts and add them to inventory.

* Administer monthly safety training program to all maintenance personnel.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Ability to lift, climb, stoop, bend, repetitively.

* Good hand-eye coordination.

* Good vision, hearing.



COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS



* Must have adequate math skills.

* Ability to troubleshoot some electrical and electronic issues.

* Be fully trained and have good working knowledge with the FSM and HACCP.

* Temperature extremes caused by the climate ranges.
