Job Description

Workforce Solutions Borderplex is a publicly funded non-profit organization. We receive state and federal tax dollars to provide employment and job training services within the Borderplex region. The services are provided at no cost to customers. Workforce Solutions is the public workforce system in the six-county Borderplex region that assists employers in finding quality employees, and training individuals with the skills necessary to thrive in the workplace. We administer a broad range of programs and services to effectively address local workforce issues. Workforce Solutions establishes partnerships with various stakeholders within the region to improve education, employment, and economic development. Our organization and its initiatives have been recognized and awarded by the Texas Workforce Commission for our innovative approach to assisting employers and job seekers.

We are looking for an individual with great Customer Service skills and an outgoing personality who can easily engage in a conversation leading to relationship building.

Essential Requirements:

* Minimum of 6 months experience in Customer Service with a combination of sales and/or cold calling. This is not a sales position but the skills/personality are a plus.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great grammar and spelling.

* The perfect candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, great telephone etiquette and good conversational skills.

* Must be self-driven and self-disciplined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and adapt to constant change with ease. Must possess the ability to handle several tasks at a time and handle deadlines effectively.

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Must type at least 45 WPM; strong general computer and Office suite skills are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

* Must feel comfortable making outgoing calls/cold calling.

* Must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing both English and Spanish.

Job Responsibilities:

* Will be responsible for data entry, report generating and making & receiving phone calls.

* Communication with businesses and training providers is required to promote our services or extend invites to our workforce events.

* May be required to attend events such as career exploration, job fairs and/or conferences.

* Other office duties will be assigned as required.

* This is a 60 day temporary assignment. Work schedule is 8am-5pm M-F, work location is downtown.
