Job Description

Manpower is in need of a Automotive Lab Technician.



1st Shift



Monday- Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM



$20 per hour



Job Description



* Maintain 5S in Quality Lab and storage areas

* Coordinate maintenance of all lab inspection and test equipment

* Coordinate SPC and other data collection and analysis activities

* Conduct MSA studies

* Perform Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) layouts

* Calibrate all gages and check fixtures or coordinates with outside source

* Assist Customer Liaison with VES, ISES and customer issues

* Conduct lab tests and test reports (ie flammability, static load, frame fatigue)

* Participate in APQP and FMEA activities

* Advise Quality Assurance Manger on materials and equipment needed to efficiently carry out assigned tasks

* Must be able to evaluate and verify color.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Less than 24 attendance points as of posting removal date- (Internal Candidate)

* Must not have any corrective actions beyond Written Reminder as of posting removal date-(Internal Candidate)

* Dependable and can work with minimum supervision.

* Able to work flexible hours when necessary.

* Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.

* Has a solid grasp of manufacturing principles to include Process, Information and Material Flow.

* Solid Understanding of Lean Principles.

* Possess basic computer skills

* Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills

* Demonstrated effective interpersonal skill and the ability to exercise influence without authority.



Required

* Automotive Seating experience in production and quality departments

* Familiar with Customer terminology, methods of operation and requirements



EDUCATION

* High School or technical school graduate or the equivalent. Some college or technical schooling preferred. .
