Job Description

Industrial Electrician - permanent f/t job opportunity with a leading global manufacturing company in the packaging industry. Offering excellent compensation package - 34/36/hr start) + profit sharing, premium benefits package and pension/RSP matching. 8 hour shifts, Mon-Fri, Days & Afternoons

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing electrical equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties. You will be required to maintain all electrical equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures.


* Complying with workplace safety policies and regulations.

* Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.

* Resolve deficiencies found during inspection, testing and calibration.

* Install and maintain electrical system equipment.

* Possess a working knowledge of electrical controls, safety circuits and basic instrumentation.

* Perform routine scheduled and non-scheduled electrical troubleshooting and repair.

* Troubleshoot and correct power failures and short circuits.

* Be able to set, edit and analyze parameters for Variable Frequency Drives and other programmable devices.

* Knowledge and use of electrical test meters such as multi-meters, insulation resistance test set (i.e. Megger), and ammeters.

* Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines.

* Closing work orders and documenting work completed using the plant CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

* Basic understanding of mechanical equipment function to assist in troubleshooting and repairs as needed to plant equipment.


- valid Electrical License (309A or 442A)

- 5 years related manufacturing experience

- Excellent communication skills in English

- Ability to work in a team environment and deal with people tactfully and professionally at all times.
