Job Description

Are you an experienced Compliance professional living near Fort Dodge with 4+ years of experience? Do you have experience overseeing Biosecurity and Animal Welfare programs? A Manpower client near Fort Dodge has an immediate need for a Compliance Specialist.

•In conjunction with the Senior Manager- Compliance, directly oversees and audits all aspects of the business as it relates to biosecurity and animal welfare. This includes direct compliance from all areas of the company – Production, Grading, Maintenance, and Administration.
•Possess an excellent understanding of The FDA Egg Safety Rule. Must follow The FDA Egg Safety Rule and ensure all areas are in compliance of The FDA Egg Safety Rule.
oSalmonella Enteritis (SE) Plan in its entirety. This includes but is not limited to:
Working with the Biosecurity Team to ensure the SE Plan is complete and enforced at all sites.
Direct contact with FDA as it relates to the FDA Egg Safety Rule requirements.
This includes but not limited to:
Implementation of programs
Audits sites for FDA Egg Safety compliance
Documentation of results
Reporting results to appropriate company personnel and governmental organizations
Coordinates all bird testing and environmental testing to ensure complete compliance of timelines
Works closely with the Pullet Manager in obtaining pullet results.
Conducts audits of flock records paperwork
•Responsible for Biosecurity of company in its entirety.
oThis includes but is not limited to:
Ensure compliance from all sites with Biosecurity
Leads the Biosecurity Team as they work to implement and enforce the Biosecurity Plan and Procedures as written by the Team.
Audits sites for Biosecurity compliance
Write, enforce and audit company Biosecurity Plan.
Issues Corrective Actions for failure of compliance.
Direct contact with FDA and USDA as it relates to Biosecurity.
Direct contact with testing facility (Iowa State University).
Oversees the Pest Control Program.
Monitoring and Reporting
•Responsible for Animal Welfare of company in its entirety.
oThis includes but is not limited to:
Writes implements and audits all policies as out lined by UEP.
Monitors bird handling crew to ensure they are working within the guidelines of UEP.
•Responsible for environmental compliance for all of the company
oPerforming sampling required by DNR
oReporting results to DNR
oMaintaining records of environmental compliance
•In the event of a disaster, accident, or loss, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that biosecurity and animal welfare are maintained.
•Performs all duties as assigned.

•4 Year College Degree (In lieu of degree 2 years of experience in poultry compliance role )
•Prior Agricultural Experience(Preferred)
•Speak English; Bilingual in Spanish preferred
•Efficient in Microsoft Office Products
•Able to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing and sitting for long periods of time
