Job Description

As a primary responsibility, the employee works with Operations and all other departments in order to guide and direct the activities necessary to standards of quality in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF-16949, or other designated quality system. Salary starting at $60,000. Pay is based on experience.



Specific Responsibilities include:

* Assists the Quality Manager in creating a plant wide environment which champions quality in all aspects of products, services and personal relationships.

* Drives continuous improvements in product quality, reliability, manufacturability and costs within the company through all the development stages of the product. Must participate in design, manufacturability and production reviews.

* Active participant in Quality Planning Meetings for products specific to customer requirements, prior to reaching the initial sampling and production phases.

* Develop and implement customer required programs (FMEA's, Control Plans, Flow Charts, Quality Inspection Instructions, SOP's, Quality Alerts and etc.) and may be instrumental in delivery of PPAP documentation.

* Utilize current and future technology to ensure product quality; SPC, DOE, ITAF-16949, etc.

* Provide assistance to the customer as to determine product release requirements, including product and tooling specifications, value added activities, packaging, etc.

* Provide assistance to customer on first run product launch at customer site.

* Aid in troubleshooting of any customer related non-conformance due to processing or sampling of product.

Requirements:

* Must have thorough understanding of GD&T. Must have strong mathematical skills with emphasis on statistics. Understanding of the use of tools for continuous improvement such as control charts and other graphical tools; design of experiments and reliability studies.

* Mastery in the use of PC-based software such as word processing, spreadsheets and project planning.

* Requires a strong knowledge of quality assurance standards as outlined in ISO/IATF-16949 and other designated quality systems.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

* 5 years manufacturing experience required.

* Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive related industry. Experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and automotive quality management systems. Active participation ISO/IATF 16949 assessments.

* CMM experience is required.
