    Carry out standard operating procedures involving materials measurement, materials handling and inventory control, equipment operation and record keeping necessary to manufacture product batches as instructed.

    Summary:

    The Product Development Engineer II is responsible for providing engineering support for products from product development through commercialization. This includes conceptual design of products or subassemblies, design for manufacturability, design verification and validating manufacturing processes.


    Responsibilities:


    * Leading and/or working as part of a team on all stages of product development projects.
    * Designing and conducting experiments to assess product performance, reliability, and/or manufacturability.
    * Evaluating critical dimensions related to the performance of various components.
    * 3D solid modeling and 2D drawing using SolidWorks.
    * Working closely with external contractors and/or suppliers as needed.
    * Authoring test protocols, technical reports, and other various internal engineering documentation as assigned.

    * Maintaining project plans in internal PM software for executing project activities.

    Qualifications:

    * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
    * 4+ years of experience in product development from conceptualization through commercialization
    * Experience working within the medical device/GMP or equivalent document intense environment
    * Experience with SPC, DOE's, materials characterization and tolerance stack analysis
    * Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and processes
    * Familiarity with FDA and ISO 13485 medical device regulations
