    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    •    Good initiative and ability to manage independently as well as delegate and manage a remote team across multiple Service Center locations.
    •    Perform pressure vessel calculations in accordance with ASME BPVC Section VIII, bearing and mechanical load calculations.
    •    Create, check and approve 2D and 3D CAD models. Upload latest models to the ERP system.

    Education and Experience:
    •    5+ years of directly related experience in Mechanical Engineering.
    •    Four-year college or university degree, preferably in engineering.
    •    Rotating equipment background, preferably API610 and/or API674.
    •    An understanding of pump test curves and technical drawings with the ability to interpret.
    •    API pump repair and drafting experience (2D – AutoCAD, 3D – SolidWorks).
    •    A rotating equipment background (API 610 and 674 pumps) with an aftermarket background in repairs, upgrades and rerates.

    Desired but not required: 

    •    Vibration analysis experience.
    •    Product and process experience – (Refinery / Gas plant).
    •    Failure analysis – root cause including system analysis.
    •    Ability to travel approximately 10-20 percent of the time.
    •    Hydraulic pump design or modification experience strongly preferred.
    •    Experience and understanding of using API682.
    •    Knowledge of Hydraulic Institute standards.
    •    PE or CEng preferred.

Assist with PFMEA and control plan activities to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks before they become quality issues.

    What’s Needed?

      1~3 years’ experience with quality and process control in a high-volume manufacturing environment required. Lean six sigma experience preferred. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematic diagrams, understanding of basic statistical concepts and methods Knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques, good problem solving and attention to detail. Proficient with data extraction and manipulation, including pivot tables, graphs, and charts through MS Excel. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ability to lift and sort parts of up to 50 pounds as needed.

    What’s the Job?

      Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.  Duties usually consist of making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.  Assists higher level technicians in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures. Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests.  Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.  The lab works with auto parts and paints and is the testing pre-approver for the changes with their vendors. This individual will be assisting the lab with daily tasks including general lab support and department maintenance. The lab support would include filling tanks, ensuring the systems are emitting accurate fog, signing in packages, labeling, recording pH levels, taking temperatures, etc. Once the lab is caught up, there would be opportunity to work on some entry-level testing including fluid testing, auto parts/panel testing, etc.

     

    What’s Needed?

      Requirements: Education - No higher than a BA/BS degree.  Candidates with a degree in environmental sciences, biology, etc seem to do well in this role.  Experience - Would take a recent grad with internship experience.  Otherwise, would look at someone with 1-3 years of similar experience in roles such as quality control, lab, testing, etc.  Must be detailed-oriented, a team player, and a good communicator (verbally and written)
