    What you have to offer?

    Responsibilities:
    * Utilizes industry best practices and established standards to ensure drawings adhere to corporate and professional requirements.
    * Create up to date and trustworthy drawings based on requests identified through the Quality Enhancement Reporting and the Internal Drafting Request systems.
    * Provide subject matter expertise for drawing reviews, specifically Mechanical, Civil, and Structural disciplines or Electrical disciplines.
    * Provide support on a 3D point cloud project from a design perspective.
    * Establish, maintain and continuously improve effective quality assurance and quality control processes for issued for construction (IFC) and as-built record drawings, ensuring that key Process Safety Information (PSI) - drawings that describe company Facilities - are correct at the source of creation.
    * Support LP Engineering and Projects, Major Projects, Operations, and Technology & Information Services drawing related needs.

    Required Education / Experience:
    * Diploma in an Engineering Technology discipline from a recognized polytechnic institution, or a relevant combination of drafting and design training and experience.
    * Expert drafting skills, with experience in AutoCAD, CADWorx; experience with CAD standards
    * Experience working with Point Clouds and Recap.
    * Experience with 3D Scanning/3D Modeling
    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with Projects, Operations, and other technical subject matter experts.
    * Exhibits great interpersonal skills and works effectively in a team environment.
    * Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
    * Requires strong customer service focus and ability to maintain effective working relationships with broad base of engineering drawing users and editors.

    The Mechanical Designer will:
    Demonstrate the technical expertise to create HVAC, Fire Protection and plumbing design with minimal supervision to high quality standards while mentoring under experienced Professional Engineers for Commercial, Educational and Institutional building design. Coordinate Mechanical equipment's electrical requirements effectively to other team members.
    Key Responsibilities (not to be inclusive of all responsibilities):
    Mechanical, energy efficient HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing design
    * Experienced in Drawing/Modelling in current REVIT software while demonstrating strong computer skills and understanding of technical data required for REVIT
    * Utilize point clouds in the development of Scan to BIM
    * Create coordination reports and clash detection via Navisworks
    * HVAC load calculations utilizing gbXMX
    * HVAC and Plumbing Calculations
    * Perform Building Energy Simulations
    * Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable building codes, electrical design, standards and procedures
    * Design for healthcare facilities, ICRA knowledge
    * Perform general office tasks (i.e. Microsoft Office proficient in Word, Excel, database, PDF editor)
    * Contribute to team efforts, continuous professional skill development to build upon our innovative energy efficient design for buildings.

    Valid Driver's License is required.
    Degree in related field is preferred.
    Former or current ASHRAE society is highly preferable.
