    What will you do?

    Pipeline Accountant

    The Crude Pipeline Accounting Team is responsible for accounting functions related to crude oil pipelines and terminals and is an integral part of the company. The qualified candidates will be able to perform a combination of general accounting and pipeline accounting duties on complex crude pipelines, and terminals, including revenue recognition and deferred revenue analysis, invoicing, contract and tariff analysis, volumetric reconciliations, and supporting the Partnership's FERC reporting responsibilities as required.

    The expectations, role and responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
    · Pipeline volume accounting, reconciliation and related tariff review for complex pipelines
    · Interfacing with 3rd party customer's accounting team for monthly close cycles
    · Demonstrate an understanding and awareness of the various deals and business drivers of the assigned pipelines
    · Ensure accuracy of related intercompany and general ledger account information from pipeline invoicing
    · Prepare and record necessary journal entries and pipeline statements
    · Perform variance analysis of actual revenue and volumes against forecast or prior month/quarters for assigned pipelines
    · Provide oversight for atypical pipeline processes and help integrate new pipelines
    · Provide support and analysis, as required, to support the Partnership's FERC reporting responsibilities
    · Coordination of corporate (internal and external) and 3rd party (Customer) audits
    · Interface and troubleshoot with internal functional groups to ensure pipeline statement/invoice/volumetric accuracy (Scheduling, Commercial, Operations)
    · Special projects as needed
    Minimum Requirements:
    · Bachelor's in Accounting or Business/Finance, preferred
