Major Duties:
Recording information, processing, and filing forms.
• Preparing cheques, deposits, and financial reports.
• Updating ledgers, researching, and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with regular bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.
• Performing basic office tasks, including responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
• Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles.
• Responding appropriately to a vendor, client, and internal requests.
• Assist senior accounting personnel with any tasks conducted within the accounting department, or any tasks that require accounting personnel to take part.
Additional Accounting Clerk Requirements:• Keep sensitive information confidential.
• High level of accuracy and efficiency, attention to detail.
• Courteous, professional manner, strong customer service skills.
• Computer literacy and strong typing skills, experience with accounting software is required
Job Requirements Formal Education and Training:High School diploma is required, more education and experience are generally preferred.
Occupational Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Additional Preferred Knowledge Requirements: Proficient with Microsoft applications. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as good organizational skills. A complete and comprehensive understanding of accounting procedures and principles. Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
