    Requirements:

    Manpower is seeking temporary Mechanical Assembly Workers to join our team in the Chester area. Working with a world-renowned designer, manufacturer and exporter of engineered marine equipment, this position offers positive company culture and competitive pay rates!

    The role you will play:
    This position will support daily operations in the assembly department. You can expect to assemble, inspect, repair, and adjust marine deck equipment including winches, Anchor Windlass, and deck cranes. This position is responsible for general assembly of custom heavy equipment including reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer‐generated reports related to mechanical and hydraulic systems for heavy capital equipment.

    What you'll be doing:
    * Read job specifications, interpret and work from engineering drawings to assemble custom heavy equipment including winching systems varying from 5 tons to 100+ tons
    * Demonstrate effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
    * Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach gearboxes and motors and connect and properly install various couplings, press fit bushing and fastener torqueing to specification.
    * Participate in static and dynamic testing of finished equipment
    * Maintain a safe working environment and follow all site safety requirements.

    Your background experience looks like:
    * Experience in assembling and servicing hydraulic, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment considered an asset
    * Familiarity with hydraulic machinery and systems considered an asset
    * Able and willing to work shifts and overtime as required
    * Hands-on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul and maintenance of industrial equipment
    * Ability to work as part of a larger team
    * Highly dependable and flexible at work

    This role will offer you:
    * Competitive compensation starting at $18.00
    * 2 month contract until end of year (December 23, 2020)
