Job Description

We are currently accepting qualified candidates for a Marketing Manager position today in Houston, Texas!

Marketing Manager Responsibilities

* Marketing partner/liaison with business partner and field sales.

a. Marketing SME with deep understanding of market dynamics and products.

* Fully understand the campaign strategy and objective.

a. Consumer profiling and segmentation.

b. Marketing mix consultant.

c. Positioning/messaging.

* Brand evangelist/voice of the customer and consumer.

* Evaluate and help select the mix of marketing materials needed for the campaign during development of strategy.

* Ensure marketing materials are in line with the campaign strategy and objectives.

* Follow normal project management procedures and best practices.

* Arrange kick-off meeting.

* Put together and negotiate a timeline and a cost estimate.

* Come-up with ways to track marketing materials/efforts.

* Suggest ideas to improve the campaign's output (marketing materials, tracking, etc.).

* Collaborate with Strategist (e.g. discuss any questions and concerns).

* Make sure all marketing materials are tracked for results (when possible).

* Provide tracking results to client/project requestor.

* Obtain budget and desired timeline/launch date.

* Make sure the campaign costs do not go over budget.

* Source Creative Team:

a. Communicate the strategy, objective and action plan to the Creative Team (Writer, Designers, Web team, Production) .

* Follow-up on projects and marketing materials. Make sure they are:

a. Completed on time (including interim milestones).

b. In line with the campaign strategy and objectives.

c. Following up regularly to client/project requestor on project status.

* Develop and maintain a master job list for status meetings; schedule and hold regular status meetings.

* Ensure final file delivery of each job element (e.g. printed materials plced into appropriate inventory, PDF uploaded to appropriate system (Egnyte, SLL, MAM, Edge, eStation, etc.).

Performance Objectives:

Success in this position is being able to handle and deliver multiple projects in scope and on-time.

Ideal Candidate Should Have:

* BA/BS in business management, marketing, or related studies

* Outstanding project management skills

* Experience with marketing on demand software (Marketing Central/Marketing Operations On Demand (MOOD))

* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

* Advanced interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, relationship building and negotiation

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills - ability to understand impacts of simple to complex concepts.

* Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

* Proven experience in presenting ideas to key contributors throughout an organization.

* Ability to visualize and/or contribute to the presentation of an idea or project (from concept and design to presentation).

* Impeccable organization and follow-up skills.

* Industry knowledge and experience (Retirement Plans, Annuities, etc.) a plus

* Experience in employee benefits communications a plus

* Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Skills.
