    The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing various construction projects from beginning to end.

    * Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
    * Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
    * Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.

    * Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
    * Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
    * Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
    * Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
    * Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
    * Manage multiple projects and work various shifts.

    Qualifications:
    Candidate must have a minimum of five years Construction Project Management experience and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Candidate with NYS P.E. license or E.I.T. Certification is preferred. Proficiency in use of computer software programs such as MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, and Project Management software. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of construction codes and OSHA safety requirements and the ability to read and understand drawings and relevant contract documents. Candidate must also possess a working knowledge of all sub trades, coordination, and cost estimating. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, subcontractors, and clients, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; and be proactive to avoid and resolve project issues or conflicts.

    Pay for the position is between $60k-75k depending on experience.

    Manpower is currently seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller to fulfill an ongoing position in the Calgary area.

    Hours: Variety of different shifts

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

    * Load and unload directional bore equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
    * Complete drivers' logbook and daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports
    * Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
    * Operate Ditch Witch or Vermeer directional drills
    * Operate picker trucks and water trucks
    * Maintain and adjusts machinery in order to ensure proper performance
    * Maintain a proper mix of mud and run mud systems, as well as perform basket changes
    * Maintain driver logs and complete all other paperwork
    * Knowledge in locating system
    * Proven mechanical ability
    * Safety tickets preferred (In-house training will be provided)
    * Read and interpret project plans, diagrams and Locates
    * Perform work including box locating, installation of conduits for various cables
    * Coach and mentor new employees
    * Work under customers' standards related to horizontal directional drilling; adhering to site specific rules and regulations
    * Maintain and record accurate daily drilling activities
    * Willingness to perform all other duties as required by supervisor/manager
    * Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to service for assistance or resolution
    * Willingness to work overtime, weekends or on emergency calls as required
    * Fuel and Grease Directional Drill to maintain safe and optimal operation
    * General Labour duties and other activities at the construction site as required
    * Prepare and coordinate safety toolbox talks and complete pre-job hazard assessments
    * Operate equipment in residential areas
    * Out of town travel will occasionally be required

    Qualifications and Requirements:
    * Minimum 2 years Directional Drilling experience is an asset
    * Valid Class 5 drivers license preference will be given Class 1 drivers
    * Safety Tickets (H2S, Ground Disturbance, and First Aid)
    * Experience in heavy machinery operation
    * Relevant telecom experience or construction experience
    * Knowledge of fibre and conduit Installation is an asset

    Horizontal Directional Locator

    Manpower is currently seeking a Horizontal Directional Locator to fulfill an ongoing position in the Calgary area.

    Hours: Variety of different shifts

    Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

    * Load and unload directional bore equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
    * Complete drivers' logbook and daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports
    * Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
    * Operate Ditch Witch or Vermeer directional drills
    * Operate picker trucks and water trucks
    * Maintain and adjusts machinery in order to ensure proper performance
    * Maintain a proper mix of mud and run mud systems, as well as perform basket changes
    * Maintain driver logs and complete all other paperwork
    * Knowledge in locating system
    * Proven mechanical ability
    * Safety tickets preferred (In-house training will be provided)
    * Read and interpret project plans, diagrams and Locates
    * Perform work including box locating, installation of conduits for various cables
    * Coach and mentor new employees
    * Work under customers' standards related to horizontal directional drilling; adhering to site specific rules and regulations
    * Maintain and record accurate daily drilling activities
    * Willingness to perform all other duties as required by supervisor/manager
    * Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to service for assistance or resolution
    * Willingness to work overtime, weekends or on emergency calls as required
    * Fuel and Grease Directional Drill to maintain safe and optimal operation
    * General Labour duties and other activities at the construction site as required
    * Prepare and coordinate safety toolbox talks and complete pre-job hazard assessments
    * Operate equipment in residential areas
    * Out of town travel will occasionally be required

    Qualifications and Requirements:
    * Minimum 2 years Directional Drilling experience is an asset
    * Valid Class 5 drivers license preference will be given Class 1 drivers
    * Safety Tickets (H2S, Ground Disturbance, and First Aid)
    * Experience in heavy machinery operation
    * Relevant telecom experience or construction experience
    * Knowledge of fibre and conduit Installation is an asset
    * Must be able to lift to 23 Kg (50 lbs.)

    Installation Specialist (Alfred)

    In this role, you'll provide general labor to assist a small crew with the safe and timely installation of industrial shelving units and commercial bathroom partitions at client sites.

    The Hours, Pay, & Perks:
    In addition to steady full-time employment, you can also expect a great schedule with nights and weekends off! Work Monday-Friday from 6am until about 4pm. Pay is $15/hour, paid weekly. All required tools will be provided.
