An established, reputable manufacturing business in the Williamsport area is seeking an HR Professional to serve as the point person for approximately 165 employees across 4 facilities. This position requires an experienced team member able to manage administration, and regulation compliance for a busy family-owned organization. The right candidate will be a strong and objective communicator, comfortable with challenging questions regarding pay, benefits and employment law. This Generalist must understand the importance of confidentiality in maintaining personal and sensitive information, and possess a working knowledge of employment policy, insurances and compensations.



Duties:

* Manage all employment related activity for 165+ employees in multiple facilities across 3 states.

* Able to monitor employee and payroll laws for multiple states.

* Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, orientations.

* Process employee changes (terminations, reporting changes, etc.).

* Payroll processing; accruals, payments, taxes, SAP postings.

* Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training and performance evaluations.

* Serve as HR contact for employees for compensation, payroll, insurance, immigration status, employment verifications, workers' compensation, and various other personnel issues.

* Advise management in areas of employment law, policies and regulations.

* Assist with revisions to Policy and Procedure and/or work process development, maintain company handbooks.

* Negotiate, manage and monitor company benefits.

* Workers compensations management, Unemployment Management, FMLA, LOA, etc.

* Monitor company incentive plans, maintain bonus and award programs.

* Track birthdays; organize company parties and events and employee appreciation days.

* General office management duties as needed.



The ideal candidate will have:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related field (Will consider significant on the job experience in lieu of degree with confirmed references.)

* SHRM associations and PHR/SPHR certifications are a plus

* 7+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

* Experience in a non-corporate, family-owned or small business environment

* Exceptional organizational skills, able to effectively bring order to procedural tasks

* Strong written and oral communication skills in handling sensitive and confidential information

* Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel

* Good attendance record and a long-term job (5+ years) in your work history

* QuickBooks and SAP experience (preferred)

* Willingness to travel to other locations approximately 4x/year

* Salary of $60-70,000/year, commensurate with experience
