Job Description

Reporting to the Global Benefits Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery and reconciliation of salaries, wages, commissions, and incentive payments on a bi-monthly basis in a multi payroll environment. You will require a good working knowledge, understanding of current payroll legislation and regulations along with the ability to manage payroll staff.



Responsibilities:

* Manage the end to end full cycle payroll process to ensure compliance with payroll regulations for approximately 1000 employees

* Responsible for ensuring all internal audit processes and procedures are in place to support payroll and data integrity

* Responsible for the processing all ESPP and Stock transactions

* Manage the full cycle year-end processing of all payrolls in a multi province payroll environment

* Manage month end processes including payroll, benefit, and pension related remittances and reconciliations

* Maintain current knowledge of payroll and applicable legislation to ensure compliance

* Manage the reconciliation and preparation of T-4s and other year-end activities

* Responsible for the maintenance of all Employee personnel files

* Represent Payroll in all M&A activity

* Responsible for assisting in all Benefits related audits

* Assist in year-end internal audits

* Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

* Partner with other internal business groups (HR Support, Benefits, Finance, Oracle team) with respect to local or global projects and initiatives

* Provide guidance on payroll related matters to HR business partners and employees

* Collaborate with HR with respect to new hires, changes and terminations



The Ideal Candidate will have:

* Minimum of 7 years payroll experience in high volume payroll environment

* Benefits administration experience

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to deal with multiple deadlines and timelines

* Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

* Strong computer skills and proficient in Excel and payroll systems

* Experience with Oracle or Cloud based software preferred
