Job Description

Position Summary



Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible to maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures and will carry out maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment as directed by the Operations Manager.

* Shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

* Wage: $20 / hour + 4% Vacation pay

* Must be available for on call emergencies

* On the job training and hands on apprenticeship experience

* Temporary to permanent position Junior position



What is the job?



* To keep machines and equipment in the plant in top running order to ensure production can operate at peak efficiency.



* Keep up to date the preventative maintenance schedule and Logging all updates in the P.M. log.



* Following all safety precautions (ie. lockouts) and procedures when carrying out work on equipment.



* Co-ordinate outside services for facility maintenance.



* Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on machines.



* Fix and replace items as required in the office and amenity areas.



* Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motors, controls, instrumentation and programmable logic controls



* Proficient in the using machine shop equipment and in the use of hand, power, and measuring tools.



* Take part and contribute to the Continuous Improvement Initiatives of the company.



* Other duties as required



What you bring to the job?



* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, and welding.



* Two (2) years experience in an electronics manufacturing maintenance position.



* WHMIS, Lockout Training



* Ability to read blue prints and schematics.



* Safety conscious.
